About Me

Hello sweet friends! I'm so glad you're here! Here's a little bit about me...     I was born in Missouri, right outside of Kansas City. My family & I are die hard Chiefs fans... no seriously, my dad told my husband that he couldn't marry me unless he was a chiefs fan... I couldn't be married to a cowboys fan!      We moved around a lot during my childhood, but ended up here in Corpus Christi where I still live today with my own family. When I was in 4th grade we moved all the way from Minnesota to south Texas… you can imagine my shock with the temperature difference.      I went to public school for a little bit before my mom decided to homeschool my two brothers and I. Here in Corpus there's a big homeschool community, with lots of activities like drama, sports and even prom. I was a cheerleader and I actually met my husband because he played on our 6 man footbal...

Life Update! //Oct // Nov

Okay guys, I have been wanting to blog so bad, and stay on top of it, but my computer crashed and it’s just so hard to blog on my phone! So much has happened in just 2 short months, so let’s chat!!

Well for starters, sawyer is getting SO big! He’s so smart and so funny! His little personality is really starting to shine. I started working at 2 different preschools, so he gets to go with me. He’s doing so much better and he’s such a happy little guy! Right now, he’s teething real bad so we’re all losing some sleep… but just trying to get through it.

He got his first big boy haircut! It was sooo long and much needed. He looked so much older with the shorter hair. He sat through the whole thing and didn’t move once!!

I was also down for almost 2 weeks with the flu and strep. It was horrible!! But praising God that sawyer didn’t get it!

Jonah’s brother Sam is in the military, we hadn’t seen him for almost 3 years! He came down and surprised everyone!! We got to see him for 2 weeks. Sawyer finally got to meet his uncle Sam!

Backtracking a little bit more, and we got to take sawyer trick or treating for the first time! He went as the cutest little Frankenstein! He had so much fun, probably because he got pulled in a wagon the whole time… living the life LOL!

Now fast forwarding to this month, we decorated our little apartment for christmas. You see, I am a christmas before thanksgiving kind of gal. It just makes me happy! You can be thankful for christmas LOL!

We got to celebrate Thanksgiving as a family of 3! For the first time ever, I cooked our own thanksgiving meal! (mainly did it so we’d have leftovers LOL) It was so nice to have a day of just my little family. We cooked and played cards, we watched a movie and just relaxed! Then yesterday was Thanksgiving day, and we went over to my parents to celebrate! We had the best time watching the parade and talking and hanging out. My dad deep fried the turkey (SO GOOD) and everyone brought a dish they made. Probably one of my favorite thanksgivings at home.

Life is just so sweet right now. Thankful for all the blessings the Lord has given me! Here comes the photo dump lol.

                       Thanksgiving at my parents!

                     Sawyer enjoyed thanksgiving food!
