About Me

Hello sweet friends! I'm so glad you're here! Here's a little bit about me...     I was born in Missouri, right outside of Kansas City. My family & I are die hard Chiefs fans... no seriously, my dad told my husband that he couldn't marry me unless he was a chiefs fan... I couldn't be married to a cowboys fan!      We moved around a lot during my childhood, but ended up here in Corpus Christi where I still live today with my own family. When I was in 4th grade we moved all the way from Minnesota to south Texas… you can imagine my shock with the temperature difference.      I went to public school for a little bit before my mom decided to homeschool my two brothers and I. Here in Corpus there's a big homeschool community, with lots of activities like drama, sports and even prom. I was a cheerleader and I actually met my husband because he played on our 6 man footbal...

Welcome! // Life Lately // My First Blog!

Is it cheesy to have a blog? Maybe. I just feel like I always have so much to say, and no one to say it to since I'm a stay at home mom to my one year old son. I still talk to him, of course, but he doesn't carry the conversation well. Ya know... since he's still learning English.

Life lately has been, crazy. Jonah started a new job at a private school. He works as a maintenance worker and he is also a coach for their new 6 man football team. His days are super long, starting at 7am with morning football practice and ending at 6pm with evening practice.

I work at a church daycare teaching music to little babies. I love it so much! Sawyer gets to go with me and I get to play and talk with all the preschoolers. Sawyer is having a hard time adjusting, he's such a mamas boy and he's still nursing so its a bit hard on him.

August was a big month for us, things are just now starting to slow down. August 6th was Sawyers 1st birthday! We celebrated with all our friends and family. We started off the morning with birthday pancakes and then we took him to build-a-bear to get his birthday teddy bear. (only ONE dollar since he was turning one!!) Then we went over to my in-laws house and set up the party while they took Sawyer to get a birthday gift. I made his birthday decor, took me over a week! It was so worth it though, it was cuuuuute!

He got so many gifts and was SO loved on. Our best friends even came down from San Antonio to celebrate with us! He enjoyed his cake too, LOL.

Then on the 25th, my brother got married to his high school sweetheart! It was a beautiful wedding & we had so much fun. Sawyer was the ring bearer, Jonah was the best man, and I was a bridesmaid! Sawyer's little baby bestie was the flower girl, and she took one step and smacked her face on the floor. That set sawyer off and he screamed and ran the other way. My best friend, who was walking them down, scooped them up and marched on down the aisle! It was hilarious and very unfortunate.
